You Wish: 1-5 Chapters

So the first five chapters pulled me into the book. Im not really into a lot of teen-mania books where its centered in a high school world and the protagonist has all these problems in its life, but the way she speaks and the mannerisms she shows keep me reading, ha ha.

The main characters name is Kayla McHenry who lives in a small town called Enumclaw, Washington. Small, flat and burnette, shes in her first couple of months of her sophemore year in high school. She has a best friend, Nicole, who is pretty much the opposite of her: tall, blonde, pretty and is dating the love of Kayla's life, Ben Mackenzie. Not really a positive influence on her self-esteem, she lets herself down a lot by disregarding her looks in fashion and self appearance. It is her sixteenth birthday at the beginning of the book, and unlike most girls, she is NOT looking forward to her party. Her mom is this big party plannar in their small town, and of course she uses her own daughters birthday party as a shot for her future clients. Finding out that her best friend and her boyfriend Ben already had plans on her birthday to go out to dinner for their 3 month anniversary, how could Kayla's birthday get any worse? Well, how about making a wish on her cake that all her past wishes could actually come true? Haha! She bite her own words, because the next morning she found a pink pony in her backyard! Loosing her mind? Maybe, but thats as far as i have gotten. :)
