Bloodlines; Spin-off's and All!

So, if anyone has read the series Vampire Academy, I would defiantly recommend this series also! It's the spin-off of the Alchemist Sydney and what happens to her after the incident at the Courts with Rose and Dimitri.Sydney is being closely watched by the Alchemists. (Humans who help keep the Vampire world a secret) They reluctantly entrusted her to be the main part in a cover up plan to keep Princess Jill Dragomir (Queen Vasilisa's recently found little sister) safe from the Moroi rebels who want to undermine the Queen's rule by assassinating her little sister.

 

Spin-off's I am always wary about, only because you've followed one characters life for so long, then it's over and now you're following another characters life instead. Is this life going to be as good has the others? Will this character live up to the past series protagonist enough to get me to keep reading? The answer to this series is, yes. At first Sydney is very stingy, just like she is in Vampire Academy, but after a few chapters she begins to loosen up and you really begin to see the character Sydney is that she hid for so long. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and cannot wait to start the next edition of the series!
