It's Been Awhile...

To say it's been long time would be a definite understatement. I never really thought I would stop writing on here so long ago, but things just seemed to happen in life. Where would I even start seems to be the question settling on my mind this evening. If it wasn't for my existential crisis I have been having here lately in my job I probably would have never signed back onto here. Thanks to my wonderful husband who was been my therapist the last few months, I seriously would not be here this evening typing this to you, whoever maybe reading this. Maybe this could be my form of therapy to myself?

The one thing everyone can tell you about me is my love of reading. No matter how old I am getting, I still love to read. My taste in genre ranges between the angsty young adult novels and contemporary fiction. I am willing to try all genres, but YA is always my first love. My first series I picked up (outside of the Harry Potter series) was a older YA famous series by the name of "The House of Night" by Kristin and P.C. Cast. This was the series that drove me into the YA world of fiction, and perused my love of romance and supernatural. I have a whole self dedicated to those books on my "Favorite Series" bookshelf in my office. I have dabbled in genres such as mystery, horror, and memories, but I still tend to lean to my YA books. Every other Friday I always leave work and head over to my local Half Price Books store, heading straight to the clearance section. I am a bargain hunter in general, so if I can find 5 books for less than $10 I will be one happy book-camper. Books are just my serotonin, and with the chaos of my job I need that escape from reality. That is the wonderful thing about books, they can take you into far off places you never thought could be possible. A little word in your own imagination that you create yourself.

I am going to push myself to post and talk about the things that I love the most about books. If you decided to follow me on this journey, please subscribe to my blog above and comment on what you love about books! I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes:

“Reality doesn’t always give us the life that we desire, but we can always find what we desire between the pages of books.”

―Adelise M. Cullens
