You Wish: 36-39 Chapters
So I dont know about you, but confronting the one boy you have been in love with for years would be a scary thought wouldn't it? Well, thats exactly what Kayla does. She gets the courage enough, thanks to her rekindled frienship with Nicole and happy wishes for her, to find Ben and tell her how she feels about him. Finding him at the track, of course, she drives out to him and takes hold of her ounce of adernaline she had been keeping hidden for quite some time, and took Ben aside and did what every girl normally dreams of when it comes to thinking of their highschool crushes...she grabs his face and kisses him. Hehe. Brave woman, but thankfully, like we all could tell in the first place, he kissed her back williningly, and not just because of her wish she had been dreading these last two weeks. Kayla wanted Ben to respond without being under the stupid wish spell, and she wanted her first kiss with him to be right.
After some great conviencing, Kayla got Carson (aka Ken doll boy) to take Ann out on a date. Having Nicole come over and give Ann a total makeover, adding a emerald green dress that had been sitting in Kayla's closet for a long time, and adding a whole bunch of curlers to her hair, Ann was fit and pretty for her romantic date, and while watching her doll go out with her other doll and seeing the happiness within the two of them, it only made Kayla even more happy and for once in these crazy weeks she loved being around the two like this.
The next morning though, Kayla woke up to no more Ann hogging the covers in her bed, no pink pony in the shed, and no huge breasts on her chest. Instead, she woke up to a bright white clean slate of snow outside her window. But it was in the middle of October...that was too early for snow in Enumclaw. When did she ever wish for snow? Walking outside, Kayla began to feel the emptiness of it all, and for some reason couldn't understand the whole quietness of the day. She felt sad, and the snow wasn't really helping, but when she began to walk to the house she felt herself being plumeted with a snow ball to the chest. Turning around she finds herself face to face with a smiling brother...that was something she had not seen in long time. Deciding to take it up on his offer for a ninja snow fight, she felt a joy of happiness surge through her and enjoyed the moment she was having. After some numb toes and fingers, the fight was called to a hault for the moment, and Kayla went inside to find herself confronted by her mother. Ignoring her, Kayla couldnt blame her mother after the fight they had and the words that were said, but she also knew that her and her mothers relationship could not go on like this. Sucking up her pride and rousing up some more courage, she apoloigized to her mother and told her that things needed to change. No more late nights of work, no more twenty-dollar bills for pizza for one, and no more not talking to one another. And thankfully, for once the mother was not engrossed by her blackberry to ignore her...the mother was actually listening. Promising to be home by seven with a pizza and a movie for three, Kayla began to like the new outlook of her life, even if there were no more dolls or ponies or gumballs.
The End.
